I am reaching out to you because you have at some point shown interest in the joining Guard! I am so excited that you have expressed an interest in the Maryland Army National Guard. Don't delay any further, let's continue the process and enhance your goals.

I am the recruiter assigned to your area, Staff Sergeant Matthew Carlson. We are a fantastic organization the can provide exponential opportunities. The first step is to schedule an appointment with me to take a practice test for the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Exam. This exam is required in order to determine your eligibility with our organization. This process includes a free overnight stay at a 4-star hotel and 3 meals for your time.

We also have a great opportunity for you experience a weekend as a National Guard Soldier. This program is called "A Guardsman For A Day." This a perfect way to see what the Guard can offer you. You will have the opportunity to network with other soldiers that gone through the process of selection, attended trainings, and have previously served. I highly recommend you sign up today for the upcoming RSP (Recruit Sustainment Program). We will provide an overnight stay in our barracks, meals, and clothing.* (Clothing will likely consist of a top and/or bottom only)
