Two goals in quick succession from former Kumasi Asante Kotoko, goal poacher,Mohammed Gedo were enough for the Rasta Park Stars in their crunchy encounter against the Media Select Side at the Tantra-Hill Park. The game which was keenly contested began on a frantic note as both sides were eager to make an impression. Both sides got glorious opportunities but failed to convert them as both teams ended the first 45 minutes of the game deadlocked. However, a quick fire counter saw the host convert a goal after striker and captain for the side rounded the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 right after the break. The Media Select Side, led by Kofi Mensah Laimomo,of Oman FM incessantly piled pressure on the home side in order to get an equaliser.Their reward came in the 60th minute, when Jones Owuraku Mantey of Accra based,Hot FM struck a long range shot from the right side into the opponents' net after a slick one-two with Kofi Mensah Laimomo. Their joy was however shortlived as Mohammed Gedo put his side ahead five minutes after bamboozling resolute defender,Seidu Adamu, and sending a sublime curler past the goalkeeper for the Media Select Side. They quickly got a third and the match winner as the left winger for Rasta Select Side dribbled away from the Media Select Side's defender to tee the ball up for Mohammed Gedo to finish from close yard. Two late substitutions from the coach of Media Select Side saw them come into the game at the latter stages. One of the substitutes,Kobby, Oman FM drove a low shot past the goalkeeper of Rasta Select Side to peg the score back to 3-2 in favour of the hosts. Both sides were unable to convert any of their chances as the referee blew his whistle to end the second duration of the game with Seidu Adamu adjudged the Man of The Match.
